Maybe I am too much a n00b and the girlfriend missions were not mandatory to even progress the story line (the first encounter with one I thought was pretty mandatory, gave up after little effort) and it ruined GTA: San Andreas for me. I really hope, if it was the case that you needed to do them, that they don't put them in the next chapter as i will sadly forgo that one again if it's the case. I've got enough troubles keeping my RL GF happy let alone some pixelated ho tryin' to mouth off to me!

So because I played FEAR, I'm going to be able to slow down time, jump over my enemies and kick them dead with one hit to the cranium? How about my EQ2 playing? Will I be able to summon the dead and go slay dragons or be able to forge weapons in the basement of my meager apartment with ease because I've 'trained' for it in a video game? Sure FPS can give you some sort of odd ability to learn military strategy but wouldn't seeing your first victim kinda shake a normal human being up after seeing blood and possibly brain matter scatter around? You can argue desensitization all you want but the fact is if video games were really "CAUSING" all this, wouldn't oh, 99% more of the people who play these damn games act out?

Thank god for ROMs and a Sidewinder controller. Much cheaper than $5-10/download. Though I did enjoy these games a lot, just doesn't seem worth it to me when I can get them for free elsewhere. My predictions for next week are Mach Rider, Spy vs Spy, and Tin Star (based on the coming soon section of http://www.vc-reviews.com/coming_soon.php) Now if they came out with Flashback, Ogre Battle or Warriors of the Eternal Sun, I'd probably buy into the VC thing.
