01.30.2007 BURGER KING GAMES BOOST BK PROFITS BY 40%
Burger King sold three different Xbox games for $3.99 each with the purchase of their value meals recently, and Pocketbike Racer looked like the worst racing game ever until we saw their second game: Big Bumpin’ - the BK bumper cars game. But what sold the three games combined to double platinum heights was the forever freaky Sneak King adventure game that required players to stalk down hungry people and force Burger King food down their throats. The glutton buttons proved to be as addictive as the food, and Burger King is now reporting that because of the sales of the three games, their company has achieved a 40% increase in profits for the financial quarter, with a total of 3.2 million game sales so far.
Lost Planet just reached the top of the sales charts again recently, but I think BK might still have them beat. I expect an equally obese Ronald McDonald game is on the way. They should pay for an exclusive Mario McDonald's Party where you can play as both Nintendo and McDonald's characters. Instead of coins and stars you play for calories and heart attacks, and the first person to explode from obesity before the end of 20 turns wins. My McDonald's monopoly money is on Grimace.
