05.01.2007 HOW MUCH IS CHRONO TRIGGER WORTH? $758.

TechEBlog spotted this eBay auction, where an an unopened Chrono Trigger Super Nintendo game sold for $758. Buying Chrono Trigger at any affordable price is well worth it just to play through the game, it was one of the first video games to include multiple endings and a story driven by character development. I never thought a once easily available Super Nintendo game would go for so much though. Make sure you keep your flea market fingers and bargain bin eyes on the look out for an unopened copy of this classic.

02.07.2007 CHARITY AUCTION GIVES CHANCE TO BE IN HALO 3

Hollywood Arts is a non-profit organization that provides arts and educational services for unfortunate teenagers and young adults. Instead of shunning gaming, they've decided to embrace it, and are honoring video game composer Tommy Tallarico at their first annual Dream Awards benefit on February 17, 2007. The dinner and award ceremony will feature the cosplayers and the 36 piece Hollywood Studio Symphony orchestra.

Whether you're a Tallarico fan or not, Hollywood Arts is also holding an auction on eBay selling several items worth bidding on for charity. The most sought after will most likely be an audio cameo in the Halo 3, but a Master Chief statue, and a tour of the Bungie studios sounds good too. They even plan to sell signed video game goods from Guitar Hero 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog artists. The auction also starts on February 17th, and you can bid on the items here. If you're interested in getting tickets for the Dream Awards, you can read more at Hollywood-Arts, or call them at (323) 656-5274.

02.01.2007 EVERY NES GAME ON EBAY SALE UPDATE

Last week I found an eBay auction that had every NES game and accessory ever made for sale, and at the time it was going for just $1,675. The 670 game auction still has two days left and its highest bid has already reached over $21,000. Just when you thought modern day gaming was getting expensive, NES has returned to reclaim its title. How much further do you think this will go before the auction ends? I'm guessing it won't top $27,000. And how the hell do you ship something this big over eBay? In a Nintendo bus?

12.26.2006 WHITE PS3 GOES FOR $1500 ON EBAY

Man did the holidays take their toll on me, I'm still tired as hell. I just woke up to someone online telling me how to finally get rid of my PS3 - paint it. This PS3 and controller were ripped apart, painted white, and reassembled again to be put on eBay. $1,500 for something that otherwise was barely pulling profits anymore isn't bad at all. Should I paint mine green? red? Screw it I'll just open it and play it. If you're interested in painting your PS3 for fun or for sales reasons, you can read about the process here, with plenty of step by step provided to help.

12.05.2006 NAKED SANTA HAS A PS3 FOR YOU

In that place where hilarious and scarily repulsive is gray area where this man stands motionlessly throughout all of time. I've seen sex used to help PS3 eBay auctions, but this potentially angry Santa has more than one gift for you. Besides the 60GB PS3 and the 3 year Target warranty, he is also offering/threatening:

"Please bid. If I have to list this again I'm moving the PS3 box in the photo. In case you're wondering, none of my parts touched any of its parts.

I will ship overnight insured to anywhere in the US, or for an additional fee, I will deliver the PS3 in a full Santa suit with appropriately dyed beard and hair to anywhere in the continental US between December 19th and 23rd. I suppose if the fee is high enough, I would be willing to deliver the PS3 as pictured. If interested in this delivery, send me an email through ebay after winning the PS3 and we'll find an appropriate fee and set up an auction for the delivery, so it's all on the up and up."

He's asking for $1,000, but surprise surprise, no bids yet. So for those of you that desperate for a PS3, for a $1,000 you could have a Miracle on Your Street, although you might not want to be Home Alone when it arrives. Santa FTW as always. Please don't make him move the box.

11.17.2006 $99,999,999 PS3 ON EBAY

There's a keeper for yuh ladies! In what started as a $150 bid on EBay for an actual PS3, it slowly moved up to $1000 over the course two days. Then it took off and quickly hit $10,000 making most bidders laugh and decide to just spam fake bids. It went straight from $105,000 to $300,000, and then straight to $1,000,000. And an hour after that you have the price cap seen above.

10.09.2006 Top Xbox Live player sells account for PS3

Xbox Live gamer 'Rance6' has managed to stack up over 5,000 hours of 360 gaming, with a gamerscore of more than 80,000. He's currently auctioning off his 360 hard drive containing all his achievements for over 1GB worth of saved games. Hailing from Italy, he claims to be the "1st IN THE WORLD," but is willing to get rid of it completely so that he can get ahold of a PS3 when it finally comes out in Europe. If you divide his 5,000 hours of gameplay by the 300ish days he's ownded the 360, you'll be shocked to know that Rance6 has been averaging over 16 hours of gaming every single day for almost a year. The auction ends on October 11th and is already going for over $5,000. So he's getting $5,000 a year to play video games? Not the dream job most gamers strive for, and I doubt the PS3 will treat him any nicer financially in the future.
