03.29.2007 GUILD WARS EXPANSION AND SEQUEL
NCsoft and ArenaNet have announced their plans for Guild Wars 2, setting the target beta period to begin in the second half of 2008. The game mechanics will resemble the first game, and there will still be no subscription fee to play. An expansion is also on the way, and requires at least one of the previous Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall campaigns to play. Scheduled for the 2007 holiday season, Guild Wars: Eye of the North will have 18 dungeons and caverns to explore, 150 new skills spread across all ten professions, and dozens of new items, weapons, and armor.
