04.20.2007 C&C TIBERIUM WARS XBOX 360 DEMO ON LIVE
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is already out for the PC, and still has a few weeks to go before it'll be out on Xbox 360 as well. There's a free demo up on Xbox Live right now if you want to try it out early to see how successfully they pulled off an RTS game on a console controller. The 1GB download is only available for Xbox Live Gold members, and not available at all to gamers in Asia. To make things worse, there's already been a lot of complaints of slow download speeds for the large file, although Major Nelson is reporting that if you cancel the download and start over, things should speed up to normal.
You can check out pictures, gameplay, and an interview with a developer here if you're not sure if it's worth a try. I won't be playing this on my PC since I'm not even a big RTS fan to begin with, but if the demo is smooth I'll buy it for the 360.
