05.24.2007 FABLE 2 VIDEO DIARY: MUST LOVE DOGS
At this year's Game Developers Conference we got a brief glimpse of Fable 2, and all Peter Molyneux showed us was his damn dog. Then he got knighted, months passed, and he's back. Him and his whole Lionhead Studios team are starting their video diary series and this is episode one. Ok, Peter Molyneux, what do you have for us now? A dog, right, we know about the dog. What else? You can walk the dog? Awesome. Next? You love the dog. Warm and fuzzy dog? Ok . . . what else? You love pizza? Right . . . Why is everyone sitting around the office taking about love, you're freaking me out . . .
This awkward scene continues for five minutes as Peter makes sure we realize you can not control the dog, that it creates more emotions that way, then he reconfirms you can't control the dog, and wants us to sit back a second and just think about how intriguing and unique that is. How about Harvest Moon, asshole? I took my axe to the head of that poor puppy plenty of times when it got in my way, this dog is so dead when Fable 2 comes out this October. Save yourself the time and just skip to the last minute of the video where we finally see some of the Fable 2 scenery we've been waiting for Lionhead Studios to deliver.
Dear writer of this bunch of bullshit, I fucking can't believe what a retard you are. Seriously, who let's you write on a public website anyways.
You can't even begin to understand what a genius Peter Molyneux is. He was already making revolutionary games 18 years ago and now he is trying to do something even greater than inventing the whole "god game" genre all by himself.
The only thing that keeps games from being even greater than movies, is the emotional component. A few games have delivered this before(like Final Fantasy or ICO), but once this is implemented in the gaming culture, it will take it to a whole new level, never before imaginable.
And all YOU can do is think about the stupid graphics? You don't deserve to play another video game other than Moonstone ever again. Go kill some more 3D models and feel good about yourself. Sad.
