I just don't see how this is worth it. I've been on the fence for a while now, wanting a PS3, but seeing the 360 as a better value. But even with this version, bigger hard-drive, etc. I'm still not seeing it. For another $120 bucks, I can get the PS3, wich has HD movie playback, and Wi-Fi, which would cost me another $300 for the 360. Plus, I can get online out of the box, without paying.

If they had just included Wi-fi, I might think about it...

Dave, I've been to Vegas a few times, and I even rode the rollercoaster at New York, New York a few times, and while I might be stupid, I'm not an idiot. Having a close up shot of the Statue of Liberty surrounded by sand was a rip off of Planet of the Apes. Plain and simple.

I really enjoyed the obvious Planet of the Apes rip of with the statues of liberty. Nice. Creative. Loved it.

So Perfect Dark Zero is such a kick ass game that you can make a little erector set robot to push two buttons and get points from it? I'll be right back, I've got to go out and buy it.

The really sad thing about this (other than the fact that this douche bag killed people) is that this will be attributed to video games. He killed people. That's what people should be focusing on. Not what he did with the money he stole from him. They should focus on that, but they won't. Anytime a video game is involved, that's all anyone can focus on. You're right though, I don't really see a point in it being on the Wii, which won't have as good a sound, but it seems like it would be mainly for the diehard Nintinto fans, who never bought a PS2.

I'm kind of suprised taht this game is getting a sequel. I thought the first on was OK, but not nearly as good a game as pretty much anything else that Rockstar put out. But at least that's one game for my PSP this year.

People need to realize that Jack Thompson is good for gaming. When certin people might be concerned about younger people playing video games, all they need to do is listen to Jack Thompson for a little while, realize that he is a total douche bag, and then they can stop worrying. Jack Thompson, by the sheer virtue of the fact that he is a complete tool, makes everyone else in his camp look like a tool by proxy. Remember Jim Bakker? How many people took TV evangelists seriously after everything that happened to him? The same thing will end up happening to Jack and all his cohorts. Just give it a bit of time.

Believe me. If anyone has a fever for which the only cure is more cowbell, it's me. I was just being a smartass, which is my only hobby these days besides video games. There really is no shock that he got all of these nominations. The only really shock here is that this jackass hasn't won a shitload of these before. He should be able to redecorate at least a bathroom with these. Maybe wall to wall in the garage. And you know that his movies are only going to get worse. Any smart person will listen to the literaly thousands of critics telling him his movies are shit, but not him. he decides taht they just hate him for no reason, and he should get in a ring and box them. Good job, idiot. That will make your films suck less.

Thanks for a great review. It's kind of refreshing to see someone say things like "but when you want to just hit the fucking barrels to blow them all up with the game's beautiful explosions, auto aim can be a hindrance" or "One of your partners is as simple as a tech geek to explain equipment, and another is as simple as a pair of tits who wears bikini bottoms on the outside of her snow suit". I really apreciate that kind of frankness and honesty. And I have to say I really like seeing plot listed up there with it's own score. A came can be a bit shitty in some departments, but if it has a great story, as not enough games do, it can carry the game over it's own weaknesses.

I also really like seeing 'Expectations' as a catagory for a review. I cound't begin to tell you the number of games that have dissapointed me upon purchace, so it's a nice touch to see someone let you know if a game really lives up to the hype. I ahve kind of been looking forward to buying this game, but I think I'll be renting it first, thanks to your review.

As far as something else to review, How about something for the usually forgotten PSP? Maybe Driver 76, or maybe Rainbow six Vegas? I know that neither of those are out yet, but being that I am the only PSP owner I know, I don't really have anyone to talk to about games for it. And since I live in a small town, no one here rents games for it, so buying one is a real crapshoot.

The simple reason that the government wastes it's time on the video game indusrty so much more than film or television is because it just doesn't have the gigantic legal infrastructure that the film/television industry has. The legislatures don't want to piss of Hollywood, because that is a huge part of their donation base. So the govenrment goes after a smaller industry, that isn't as prepared or capable of fighting back. The larger the industry gets, which it is doing year by year, and the more legal savvy it gets in terms of fighting ridiculous laws, the better off all of us will be.

In a nutshell, I think it sucks. I have a subscription to OPM for about two years, then I found out that it was being cancelled. I was told in my last issue that I wuld be getting EGM from here on out, since OPM no longer existed, but now it looks like I may be getting a copy of nothing each month.

I know that there are a number of gaming sites out there; obviously I'm on one right now. But it still is a shitty way to go down. I realise that alot of the information in the magazines is a bit old, evidenced by the fact that I found out on the internet that OPM was going away, and I didn't read about it in OPM for another month afterwards, but there is something great about being able to sit down with a magazine and read alot of great articles from people who really seem to care about the industry. Plus, I don't have the internet in the bathroom.

So, we'll see what happens, but I really hope that they can get enough of their shit together to keep producing EGM.
