I doubt the Virtual Console will have much of a bearing on Wii sales, ever. It is a nice extra that very few people will care about past the whole "LOL ITS THE ORIGINAL MARIO ON MY WII ISNT THAT COOL?!" which then turns into "Let's play something else" five minutes later.
