05.25.2007 MARIO MUSHROOM CAKE MASTERPIECE

I can't stand mushrooms on my pizza but I'd love to eat this dessert. Although, I usually don't trust food that's taller than my game consoles, this looks like a few inedible ingredients may have been added into the frosting. I R Serious found these pictures and this description:

"Sculpting this cake truly brought back many fond memories of days when sis and I had Nintendo consoles permanently attached to our palms. … It always starts off with a sketch; which I was pretty happy with … and began working on it 3 days ago. It does take many hours to painfully sculpt every little detail but the outcome usually is rewarding when more effort is put in."

A gamer girl who bakes gaming cakes this great, I think I'm in love. If the side around the cake was an accurate recreation of World 1-1, I'd have Mario stars in my eyes. The pictures below start with the concept art and takes you for a trip around the cake, gives a peak inside, and flag pole finales with the full picture of Mario popping out the top.

03.23.2007 NINTENDO DS CAKE

I've been so damn busy this week, and in a few hours that all comes to an end. Spring break, it's almost here. What do you guys plan on playing over break? I'll be on my DS often, but not until I get through God of War II finally. I might also hop on Ragnarok Online for a night or two, and for some reason I really want to some of my Nintendo 64 games again.

This edible art is one of the better gaming cakes I've ever seen - making a dual screen dessert has to be hard. With console or controller cakes it's easy to figure out where to put the candles, but this one is more tricky. Sticking the candles in the touch screen could melt the top display, and if the hinge breaks you could blow its top off when making a wish. I like the precision in this piece, but I'd prefer a console of larger proportions to fill me up.

12.12.2006 YOU KNOW YOU'RE A GAMER WHEN:

Your wedding cake looks like this. Here's a dilemma that is fastly approaching all of our gamer generation. Picking a man or woman to marry into our gaming lifestyles is hard enough, but planning a gamer wedding is something that's not easy either. Not even a PS3 cake would be enough to feed 2 families, so Carol Orsini decided to just stack the console cake as high as she could. How the original Xbox near the top didn't collapse the whole thing is beyond me, but it probably collapsed shortly after the first slice - obviously everyone went for pieces of the sexy PS2. This might not be the most geeky food in existence, but it is definitely the largest geek treat I've ever seen.
