04.13.2007 LOST PLANET PC GAME COMING IN JUNE

Those of you who don't own an Xbox 360 missed out on a moderately kickass game. If you've got a good computer though, you'll get a chance to play it this June according to new Famitsu information. Capcom plans on bringing the PC version of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition to the U.S. and Europe later this year, with DirectX support and resolutions up to 2560x1600. For now it's unknown whether it will only be a Vista release, or if we'll also get a version that works on other types of Windows.

PC ports of console games rarely bring huge sales, but this should be good news to PS3 graphics whores who are patiently waiting for Heavenly Sword and Lair to come out.

04.04.2007 TWO RESIDENT EVIL GAMES COMING TO WII

From the depths of NeoGAF comes news that a Resident Evil 4 remake for the Wii has been confirmed thanks to new Famitsu page scans (seen below). That's not all though, there's also a new Resident Evil first person shooter game coming to the Wii, and just to make your jaw drop a little further, it's also an on rails game. The "Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles" FPS will focus on the destruction of the Umbrella Corporation. Basically a better looking Red Steel that will probably also suck. So how does the Wiimote work with the Resident Evil 4 remake? Translation from NeoGAFers:

"Beating the game adds Ada's "The Another Order"/"Separate Ways" from the PS2 version. Controls adapted for waggle, including Wiimote aiming. Waggle while holding down B to reload, waggle without holding to use your knife. Also comes with a trailer for Umbrella Chronicles."

So aim and shoot, hold B and wave it around to reload, and let go of B and wave it around for knife action. It's sad, but the Wii remake will probably manage to outsell the new Resident Evil game, even though most people who have Wiis already have Resident Evil 4 for the Gamecube.

02.21.2007 FAMITSU XBOX 360 AND WII GAME PREVIEW SCANS

YouNewb noticed new Super Paper Mario Wii pictures in the new Famitsu, and Students of the Strange noticed two new Trusty Bell Xbox 360 scans from the same issue. Trusty Bell: Chopin’s Dream (known as Eternal Sonata in America) has received the Japanese release date of June 14th. Since Blue Dragon came out in Japan in December, and is scheduled for a June release in USA, I'd guess Trusty Bell will be out just in time for Christmas.

The new Super Paper Mario pictures show off some more of the three dimensional 2D gameplay. The one creature looks like a square cow, and we get to see what the sewers look like. I like ow the whole sewers are one big grid on the screen - I'll bet that there's a way to break the grid in the background and run behind the level in certain secret areas. You can also see a part in the game where you play as Bowser, and another scene where you're a giant sized Mario like in the New Super Mario Bros. game for DS Lite. I just noticed that the obscure mathematics in the sky look like they include Mario items - it would be cool if there was a way to change the equations and make the Mario items solidify for a freebie. The Paper Mario series is one I don't need to see first though, I'd buy it blindly.
