03.15.2007 MATHEMATICAL MARIO MUSIC
Too poor to join the high school band? Here's an instrument that everyone can afford - Kipppe uses a vibrating ruler in ways that Linda Blaire could only dream of. By flicking the ruler at varying fulcrum depths, Kipppe was able to keep himself awake through math class with this Mario music, and he's also mastered the MacGyver theme. If I was his math teacher I'd tell him to turn his inch-notes song into a height graph for extra credit. Jumping an octave from two inches to ten must be a bitch. If I tried this ruler trick I wouldn't feel comfortable representing my manliness in mere inches. I'd whip out a yardstick and groan like Yoshi when it snapped and impaled me. Screw rulers, wasn't Mario supposed to like flutes anyways? They should bring those back in Super Mario Galaxy for some space travel.
